Life 600 Feet Under

NASA discovered a new life...but 6oo feet under the Antarctic ice! While the crew had a camera looking down, they spotted the little brownish orange life form moving, and realized it was a new unknown creature that they just discovered. I think science is fascinating and the new things organizations find are all due to the equipment they have.

The article says:

"NASA scientists made a startling discovery – a swimming shrimp-like creature that could challenge the idea of where and how forms of life can survive."

I think this new discovery is fascinating and may give scientists a new outlook on the way things were made. Many possible outcomes may be benefited from this finding.

The Truth About King Tut

There have been many DNA testings and CT Scans on King Tut for 2 years, trying to discover the truths about his death. I find science fascinating and the fact that researchers have finally found the answer is amazing. Research and studies found:
"Egypt's most famous pharaoh, King Tutankhamun, was a frail boy who suffered
from a cleft palate and club foot. He died of complications from a broken leg
exacerbated by malaria and his parents were most likely brother and sister."

I find that kinda of disturbing that his parents may have been brother and sister, but the rest was interesting to find out. All of those things listed for the cause of his death all make sense. I love the power of scince and the new technology that helps find out information like this that researchers wouldn't have been able to discover hundreds of years ago.

Stanford: Going Green!

Stanford University has decided to "go green" and change their ways of energy consumption.

Joseph Stagner said:
It will cost about $250 million over ten years to make the changes to the campus.
Yes it will take time for the changes to come into effect, but it's a new and more proffiecient step towards improving the Earth. If each State College and University did this, a difference would be made and the Earth will feel this difference. And starting now would be a good idea since it's going to take a while for all the changes to be made anyways. Doing this, the amount of dirty wasteful gas and greenhouse gases that have been going into the air will reduce. Start making a difference to our Earth now before it's too late.

Bombing the Moon!?!

NASA wants to bomb the moon?? It's a crazy idea...but yet effective. NASA is going to be sending two things at the moon: first they are going to send a rocket to blast a part of the moon, then send a spacecraft that is going to capture what happens after the rocket hits. They are hoping to expect water/ice to come out from under the moon. Hopefully bombing the moon doesn't hurt it in the end. But I think this is a good way to see what truths the moon holds, but is it worth $79 million? Especially during our economic struggle at the moment? I kind of feel like they should have waited a little...
But at the same time this is a very fascinating experience that will lead to finding new things out about the moon. Hundreds of people are gathered in places and have been camping out all night to experience this moment. I know I wish I was over at Mountain View, CA right now with the rest of the people out there that are going to be enjoying a miraculous sight.

Here is a video that will show an animation of exactly how the plan is going to look like:
